Dear GOP Membership Services,

I would like you to first understand that I am a woman, a registered Republican who always voted the party line and a survivor of both rape and domestic violence. Yesterday my faith in the GOP was shattered beyond repair. I am seeking a refund for every cent I have ever contributed to the GOP and its candidates through my entire life (which were made under my maiden name) and will be changing my voter registration to independent.

Yesterday the traitors in your party who con us for support announced their plans to betray us and to defy our Constitutional rights once again.

U.S. Senators Joe Biden (D-DE), Orrin Hatch (R-UT) and Arlen Specter (R-PA) introduced the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) of 2005 conclusively proving both our major political parties are anti-family and hold no respect for our civil rights or the United States Constitution.

I am an active member of several civil rights support organizations. We are ready to take action here in North Carolina. I will with join others to put every member on the North Carolina GOP who is currently elected into office in our state on notice of our intent to seek refunds for all contributions made to the GOP and it members. This is due the acts which I consider to be fraud on the part of the GOP for having baited us into believing the GOP and its candidates would stand up for family values and civil rights, but clearly are doing the complete reverse.

I must mention that most of the funding for VAWA goes to the Lawyers and Social Workers whose organizations support the DNC and their anti-family progressive agenda. The GOP's support of VAWA is in effect forcing Republicans to support, with our tax dollars through VAWA, the very people and agenda we have worked so hard to vote out of Congress and the White House. That is intolerable.

VAWA lends itself to the abuse of the our courts and gross violations of our civil rights. It also flagrantly misrepresents the alleged protection we victims of abuse are promised and count on, which in violent cases turns out to be none at all. Civil restraining orders will only restrain civilized people who were no real threat to begin with. Our former Attorney General John Ashcroft’s “Toolkit to End Domestic Violence” recommended completely moving the Domestic Violence laws out of the civil codes and into the criminal codes. It makes no sense at all for an attack on your spouse or domestic partner to be a civil issue when the exact action against a complete stranger is a criminal act. Battery is battery no matter where it happens.

The same is true of those falsely accused of domestic violence, they too have seen no justice as they are completely robbed of their civil rights by a process devoid of due process and equal protection under the law. The abuse racket accomplishes nothing beyond generating revenue for the state, attorneys, and the support systems of the abuse and divorce industries that is nothing more than a social engineering scheme run amok and is tantamount to tyranny. It also ignores the fact that women commit as much and maybe even more acts of domestic violence then men.

Why aren't the GOP's members sponsoring a gender neutral act that protects everyone equally?

The Domestic Violence Industry commits frauds and blatant violations of our rights to due process and equal protection under the law. Making it nothing more then a shakedown racket of unparalleled scope and depth. In the cases of false allegation during a divorce, one so brazen that not even the Mafia, which pales in comparison, would stoop to steal someone's right to their children only to extort additional money from them.

VAWA screams loud and clear that victims, both of abuse and false allegations, are not worthy of due process and equal protection under the law. Justice demands due process and equal protection under the law and VAWA fails us all on both counts.

Don't forget that the industry VAWA built is a large part of the core support network for the DNC, the feminist and the progressive agendas which are all now supported by the GOP by proxy.

The full scope of the issues with VAWA and the reign of terror it has inflicted on millions of Americans, including the women like myself that have been lied to about its value, are too great to detail in this email so I will address them by letter to my State Senators, Richard Burr and Elizabeth Dole, in the upcoming days. I can not find words strong enough to express both my heartbreak and outrage over this betrayal.
