in it's fight for the rights of children to BOTH parents! Click here to skip the reading and join right now! The Center for Children's Justice is actively involved in numerous MAJOR PROJECTS including:
LOBBYING The Center for Children's Justice is heavily involved in lobbying for the proposed Uniform Parental Rights Enforcement and Protection Act (UPREPA). This proposed Act, when enacted, will abolish the legal concept known as "child custody" and restore the child's right to BOTH parents in the event of divorce and separation and in cases of children born out of wedlock. This lobbying takes WORK, time, effort and energy, and needs to be supported by YOU, the ultimate beneficiary of this effort. LEGISLATION In addition to UPREPA, some states have what's known as "single-subject" rules which require that proposed legislation conform to but a single subject. In those cases, proposed legislation must be lobbied in the form of numerous Bills which will achieve the ultimate goals of URPEPA: the restoration of the rights of children to BOTH PARENTS, and the rights of each parent to their child(ren). This work takes money, time and effort. We need YOUR help, if you believe in our cause! LAWSUITS The Center for Children's Justice sponsors and supports selectively omnibus lawsuits which challenge the very Constitutionality of some of our so-called "laws" which undermine the rights of parents, as individuals, to conduct their lives and raise their children according to basic human fundamental principles -- founded in documents no less than the Magna Carta and the United States Constitution -- whether those parents are married, divorced or never-married. Because, ultimately, the welfare of the CHILDREN is at stake. These legal efforts take time, money and effort, and will affect YOUR rights, and the rights of your children and THEIR children, for generations to come.
EDUCATION The CCJ sponsors both the CCJ-Forum@childrensjustice.org email news, information and discussion list and the CCJ-Legal list, a more broad-based information and discussion list presently available by invitation only from the Forum and whose content will soon be transferred to another list so Legal can be converted to an interactive seminar on practical legal strategies and practice for pro se litigants. The CCJ also sponsors the the upcoming National Pro Se Network, an ONLINE fully interactive educational resource for pro ses on a par with what is available to attorneys, taught by directors of the CCJ with over 12 years of combined litigative experience and other affiliates, which is directed at educating family law litigants without attorneys how to win not "custody" but the genuine protection of inalienable RIGHTS for their children and themselves. INDIVIDUAL GUIDANCE Several of the directors of the Center for Children's Justice have years of experience and success at guiding both represented and unrepresented litigants in their individual fights for justice in the courts of family law. These efforts take a great deal of time and effort, often result in ultimate success, and are equally often unrecompensed. We Need Your HelpTo achieve our political, legislative and litigative goals! If these goals resonate with yours -- if you sympathize with our efforts -- please JOIN and SUPPORT the work of the Center for Children's Justice for the rights of CHILDREN to access to BOTH parents, and for the rights of PARENTS to actually BE parents to their children!
